New Years Celebration
There is no better way than to bring in the New Year than by celebrating the LOVE between two absolutely amazing people and that is EXACTLY what I did. Natasha and Ryan commenced their marriage in Avila Beach, cleverly and appropriately decorated by Beach Butlerz, a wonderful local company that I highly recommend, use and refer with all of my beach weddings.
The JOY of the day was captured by Stefanie Elizabeth Photography, an energetic and uniquely talented photographer that I have just had the opportunity to work with during this event and hope to in the near future!
The weather was in favor and the emotions were flowing during the ceremony creating the perfect setting of what was to come for the reception.
It was a colorful combination of local guests of those who had been somehow been connected with the San Luis Obispo area but had since moved away and locals who attended the event. The connection between all, was the love they had for the bride and groom, Natasha and Ryan.
During the short time that I had to detail with the couple before the wedding, the vision was clear…..It was to be a PARTY! They wanted minimal traditional activities and unique personalized festivities that would result in a great time had by all who were there and……. UNIQUE it was!
Where do I begin????
The reception took place at the Avila Community Center. Natasha and Ryan wanted to incorporate their favorite drinks-Ginger Ale and Jim Beam flowing as their signature drinks from beverage fountains. They brought in TNA Candy Beers, a local home based brewery to provide specialty beers such as Butterscotch and Purple Passion to tantalize their guests taste buds.
The wedding dinner was provided by Petra, a local Mediterranean restaurant who catered everything from homemade pita bread, hummus, felafel, Sharma and other amazing Middle Eastern family style cuisine to satisfy the guests rumbling stomachs. The sweet tooth of guests was appeased by the bride’s sister Julia, owner of Whip it Up Sweets, who created the creative and tasty cupcake centerpieces.
Activities throughout the evening included a personalized drawing by Robert Paul who strolled around and drew pictures of the guests, an casino table by Casino Knights and magician Paul of -Magical Dimensions who peeked the guests imaginations and curiosity with his astonishing tricks.
The night ended with a balloon drop at midnight to bring in 2012.
I can not think of a better way to celebrate a marriage and in conjunction bring in a new year. Congratulations Natasha and Ryan…..May your marriage be as remarkable as your wedding!
